Half-day Tours (up to 4 hours) ¥35,000 (about US$235) plus guide's expenses* Full-day Tours (up to 7 hours) ¥48,000 (about US$325) plus guide's expenses*
*Guide's expenses includetransportation costs after meeting you; entrance fees to temples, etc; and lunch on full-day excursions. These expenses are generally paid for on-the-spot.
Fees are the same regardless of how many members are in a group.This is not a per-person fee. However, the group size is limited to 5 people. Larger groups are possible upon request.
Payment
There are two ways to pay:
Cash - In Japanese Yen cash in person at the end of the tour.
Credit Card - Via PayPal at least one week prior to the tour date, with an additional 10% service charge. You do not need a PayPal account.
*Expenses include my transportation fees once we meet and entrance fees, paid as we go along. Expenses are NOT included in PayPal payments.

Planning
When will you arrive in Kyoto? What would you like to see?
The tour group size is limited to 5 people. This allows for a more enjoyable experience. Larger groups are possible at an additional cost. Contact me for more information.
Transportation: We may use a combination of trains, buses, taxis and walking, depending upon the situation. It is possible for you to hire a car and driver for a day. Please ask me if you are interested.
I strongly suggest that you do NOT rent a car in Japanese cities, which can be a nightmare. The public transportation system is excellent.
Please note that I am NOT a licensed travel agent and I can NOT make any bookings for you. (ie: hiring a car, making dinner reservations or booking hotel rooms).
Questions for You
Do you have any dietary restrictions? On full-day excursions, we will stop for lunch at around midday. Please be aware that most Japanese restaurants are not flexible with their menus, unlike in the West. It is better for me to know about this ahead of time so that I can plan accordingly.
Do you have any mobility issues? Usually, we do a lot of walking, but I can adapt your tour accordingly.
When to Book a Tour?
Please book your tours as far in advance as possible, especially during the peak times in late March/April and November/early December. My schedule can fill up quickly.
But don't be afraid to contact me on short notice. My schedule is fluid. It is possible to contact me and have a tour on the same day. I check my email first thing in the morning.

Tour Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a tour because of unforeseen events, please do so in as far advance as possible.
If you cancel on the day before the scheduled date, we ask that you pay 50% of the tour fee.
In case of a same-day cancellation, or a "no-show", we ask that you pay 100% of the tour fee.
